We're
planning something very different for 2011 - A
Disney Cruise!!! We'll be taking the brand new
Disney
Dream for a four night cruise to the Bahama's, including
Disney's private island, Castaway Cay (pronounced "key). We'll
then return to Disney World for two nights at the Disney Port
Orleans Riverside resort.
The Disney Dream was just launched on November 1st, and
currently undergoing sea trials. Its maiden voyage will be in late
January.
The most exciting feature about the Dream is the massive water
coaster. It extends some 750 feet around the ship, including
extending over the ocean, 150 feet below (about 15 stories).
Its made of acrylic, so you have a complete view. There is a
terrific video of on the
Aqua-Duck blog
The ship is gorgeous if the pictures and video's are any judge.
Everything is done in such great detail and in the incredible Disney
style. Reviews from people who have taken other Disney
cruise's are very positive, and we're really excited about this
adventure. See the
Disney Dream blog for some great pictures and videos.
There are 8 people coming on the trip. All are welcome.
Unlike recent trips, we won't be doing the Disney meal plan in 2011. With only two days in the park, we want to spend more time with the attractions and will just do counter service meals. We're getting Park Hopper tickets, and plan to keep the two days very flexible
